VIRTUAL MOON ATLAS 6.1 LICENSE
The following terms of service and end user license agreement (“EULA”) constitute an agreement between you and VIRTUAL MOON ATLAS and its affiliates (“VIRTUAL MOON ATLAS”). Counter clockwise in a direction opposite to that in which the hands of a clock rotate as viewed from in front Waning the lit portion of the moon is getting smaller.TERMS OF SERVICE AND END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR VIRTUAL MOON ATLAS While there is always half of the moon that is "lit" by the sun the observer on earth will see the moon pass through its phases one complete time in a span of 29 and a half days.

As the moon makes its way around the earth a person can look up in the sky and see various fractions of its surface reflecting sunlight. Phases The different phases of the moon are caused by the angle from which an observer on earth can see the moon illuminated by the sun as it orbits our planet. The Earth is divided into the Northern and Southern hemisphere. Axis The line about which a rotating body, such as the earth, turns North Star/Polaris Directly over the North Pole, used for navigation, visible year round from the Northern Hemisphere Axial Tilt The angle that a planet's axis is tilted from vertical. System a set of connected things or parts forming a whole Cyclic patterns something that occurs in a repeating pattern Seasons each of the four divisions of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) marked by particular weather patterns and daylight hours, resulting from the earth's changing position with regard to the sun. Sun the star around which the earth orbits. Moon The natural satellite of the earth made visible by reflected light from the sun. Earth Earth, otherwise known as the World or the Globe, is the third planet from the Sun and the only object in the Universe known to harbor life. Why aren't there eclipses every month? moon's orbit is tilted Where does moon's light come from? reflected light from the sun Model a representation, generally in miniature, to show the construction or appearance of something.
